Cutting the clutter on the wall: Picture Wall!
>>
Projects
I went through a phase of giving everyone I knew framed photos for Christmas, Mother's Day, etc. Now I'm realizing all that did was add clutter to people's lives, and I've ended up with the same situation at my place. I'd been putting every new photo in a new frame (silly, I know), and putting them all over the place. Come see my remedy for this spot, below.
Note: the two empty spaces in the frames stayed there for a while because I couldn't make up my mind about what to put there!
Process:
Step 1: ruthlessly edit photos currently framed.
Step 2: create a picture wall with (roughly) even spacing between frames, based on whatever frames are available (these average $7.99 at Michaels)
Step 3: mount to the wall using 3M picture hanging strips (which are sort of like Velcro), so each picture can easily be swapped out.
There! No more excuses when I have new pictures laying around! They have to go in an existing frame. (I have another wall like this, where photos sit on a ledge.)

Great post! I am about to do this above my fireplace.
Great tip!
